My target 200kms

I am taking part in the 2021 MS Brissie to the Bay in June, to join the fight against multiple sclerosis.

I am raising funds to show my support and your donation will make an impact to change the lives of people living with MS.

Did you know:

  • On average, more than 10 Australians are diagnosed with MS every week
  • The average age of diagnosis is just 30 years of age.
  • Three out of four Australians with MS are women

Your support will help fund essential services like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, counselling and symptom management, as well as MS research to look for better treatments and ultimately a cure for the disease.

Please DONATE to support our ride to help ensure no one faces MS alone.

My Updates

Finish line

Musgrave Park. Thousands there. They announced that about 1000 or so were in the 50km distance registration, but over 2500 were in the 100km distance and maybe another 1000 or so in the 130km range!

Wynnum Foreshore

Halfway point. First rest stop.

I made it!

I knew things would be a little tough when my legs were fatiguing on the first decent hill from home heading in to the event. Thankfully, the second wind kicked in and I managed the whole 50km's without incident. I fueled up at Wynnum and Balmoral on the way back with a couple of mandarins each. Very nice!

Only one of the reasons I'm so busy

Flash flooding in March has caused expanding damage to the land near the creek system and needs to be halted. The first task is to begin planting of suitable endemic natives to protect the soil from further erosion, There will be more immediate engineering works required though, with assistance of the Healthy, Land and Water people. Thanks to the Wildlife Preservation Society of Qld for assistance with tubestock and fencing materials already!

Do it anyway!

hah! , thinking again, of course I can upload interesting images, it just won't be directly related to bicycles!

Well, I guess I am hoping it won't be foggy like this on Sunday morning..

Time is upon us!

Shocking year, from a time poor point of view. I have never been so hammered with so many commitments and needs of family shoehorned in around fulltime employment. Just managed to get my facebook post and personal emails sent out this last week, later than ever before. (a sucker for punishment, still do it manually, no falling back onto listgroups or online tools). If I had an image of me riding or something equally cool, I would podt it here, but I don't.
