I'm riding 100km in the 2026 MS Brissie to the Bay

I’m signed up to ride 100k for the first time on Sun 26 June in my second MS Brissie to the Bay challenge.

Have I ridden 100k before? No. But it might be fun. Plus I get to wear tight clothes and get called a 'MAMIL'.

My fund-riasing goal is $500, last year I hit my goal of $250 so it seemed appropriate to double it. Thanks so much for having a read and even more so if you have or will donate. It gives me a bit of a warm and fuzzy to do something positive for the community, I hope you feel that way too.

Did you know?

  • The "Metric Century": A 100km bike ride is a popular endurance milestone often called a "metric century".
  • Driving Time: Driving at a steady 100 km/h, 100km takes exactly one hour...
  • Australian Population Density: Fun fact: More than 90 percent of Australia's population lives within 100km of the coast.
  • The Kármán Line: At 100km altitude, this line is widely accepted as the boundary separating Aeronautics (flight within the atmosphere) from Astronautics (space flight).
  • Moon Travel: If you wanted to ride your bike from Brisbane to the moon, you would need to do the 100km ride 3,844 times. Take that Artemis II.
