It's over for another year!

In the early hours of Sunday 22nd June, more than 5,500 riders, including some very colourful characters, descended on Musgrave Park for the annual ride to fight MS.  It was a beautiful winter’s day in Brisbane as the riders arrived back at the finish line, but not as beautiful as the hearts of those bike riders who challenged themselves to raise valuable funds for people living with MS.

Participants were able to choose from 4 separate distances to suit their ability, from a ‘cruisy’ 10km riverside loop up to the challenging 100km Brissie to the Bay, winding all the way to Wellington Point.

MS Queensland CEO, Lincoln Hopper, says support from the Brisbane community has been incredible in terms of money raised as well as the ride being a fun and active day out for riders and their families.

A highlight of this year’s event was the MS Cheer Club, made up of over 100 people living with MS, their friends and family.  Cyclers were met at the finish line by these vibrant fans bringing the challenging ride into perspective.

Although the 2014 Enerflex MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride is over for another year, the fundraising continues. Official fundraising finishes on Tuesday 22nd July at 5pm to allow time to bank offline donations and follow up with those who have pledged to sponsor riders. If you would like to make a valuable donation to this event and help reach our goal of $1.5 million, please click here.
